The wedding is now less than a year away! Eek!!
We met up with our wedding coordinator a few weeks ago to go through what would happen on the day. It all sounds very exciting and made me all the more excited hearing all about it! We’ve decided to start the ceremony at 12pm so our guests have plenty of time to look around the beautiful gardens of Chippenham Park.
Dave has chosen who he wants as best man/ushers, he chose my sisters fiancé, Justin as best man and his work friend Sun who also goes to Wing Chun with Dave every week.
My bridesmaids will be, my sister Lisa as Chief Bridesmaid and My cousin Helen, Heather Dave’s sister and my other cousins daughter Lily with her youngest daughter Willow as flower girl.
We searched for the perfect save the date cards and wedding invites and decided on a gorgeous design with bird cages, it fits in with our theme perfectly! So now the save the date cards have been handed out we will soon need to sort out invites ready for the end of the year!
We have contacted a DJ for our reception and hopefully will be booked very soon. I love my music so I’m quite strict about what songs I want played, Dave isn't too fussed and has let me choose!
We have also been looking at wedding cars. I really want a black limousine. I chose black over white as I think black looks more classy, white can look tacky.
I’ve searched every limo company in Cambridgeshire and have found no black limos (I would rather a limo without company names on) I have found one company in Essex who hire out black limos so we’ll be getting in touch with them soon.
I have decided I’ll be doing my own make up simply because I know what I want, I love my eyeliner and I love my foundation done a certain way and I run a beauty blog so it would be silly to not to my own make up as I love doing It so much! So instead I have decided to spend the money on buying new makeup from high end stores such as Mac and YSL and do it all myself.
I look up to a beauty and fashion guru called Camila Figueiredo Coelho, she does amazing make up tutorials and I’ll be following one of her tutorials for my wedding make up! above is a photo that I will be copying for my day,
My lovely sister who will be chief bridesmaid has also said she will do my wedding hair for me (I love having a sister whos a hairdresser!) we have been looking through lots of different styles and she’ll be trying lots of things out in the next few months.
This summer I will start dress shopping, I pretty much know which dress I want, I have 2 favourites by dress designer Ellis Bridal but of course I can’t show you what dresses I have in mind as I don’t want to give it away ;) both dresses I like are quite old and will probably be discontinued soon which I’m very worried about as I love these dresses and struggled to find others I like. I contacted Ellis Bridals and they reassured me they would be available until at least the end of the year :)
I’m not fussed about buying expensive shoes for my wedding, as long as they look nice that’s all that matters, I really want some pretty pink shoes :) I’ve also been thinking about what perfume to wear and decided to go with Guerlain la petite robe noire eau de parfum, it smells amazing!!
Well that’s just a little update, below are some of my latest inspirational pictures I’ve pinned on pinterest :)
